I think my norwood is around 1.5 - 2.5, hard to tell. Temples are showing quite a bit.

Would it be appropriate for me to use minoxidil? I want regrowth. Or should I just get on finasteride?

If you're prepared to make a committment, then start minoxidil. It works best on people whose hairloss is recent. Then again, they say it doesn't work on hairline/temples. I've been using minoxidil on my hairline and temples for 10+ years now and I would have to agree with that statement. I still try though. Maybe it's preventing thigns from getting worse.

The more hair you have, the better your chances of keeping your hair with treatments. Go for it if you feel you need it.
