minoxidil sheds

Hi im new hear iv bein on regaine foam 5% coming up 3 years now,i have found that sometimes ill go through a shed where my hair will just look bad forawhile and ill shed quite bad,but then it will start to look abit better after awhile and the shedding wont be as bad either,i was wondering is it normal to go through big sheds while your on minoxidil for long periods of time?im currently goin through one at the moment and its really frustrating as i feel my hair is looking worse everyday,im
Hoping it will get better soon and its not the minoxidil effectiveness wearing off,if any one could help it would be much appreciated thanks
