Minoxidil Shed, Is It Only Where You Apply?

Hi,

First time poster, and I've searched everywhere and can't find an answer for this. I've recently started 5% minoxidil, (also 1mg finasteride), and wanted to ask. If you apply minoxidil to only your crown, I know you can only grow hair on the crown, but is it possible for the shed to also be the rest of the head? I've started a mild shed, and just need to know if it will be localised to only where I'm applying it?

Yeah I think its just where you put it, but it might spread out a little from that spot. Not sure how far maybe depends on how much you used
If you could put a little on your crown and get the whole head a bottle would last you years so its only locally where you apply it
