Minoxidil Shed Concerns, Is The Regrowth Worth The Risk?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, first post.
I'm a norwood 2, have been on finasteride for 1.5 years. Great results, some regrowth in the temple areas and no further hair loss. I recently purchased some Kirkland foam but I'm apprehensive about using it due to shed story's. Anyone have any insight?? Should I leave well enough alone or is the regrowth from minoxidil worth the risk?

Do u mean your shedding stopped from finasteride? Was it like going from 100 hairs falling to like 10? When did your shedding stop if it did. Yeah i think its worth it.

Finasteride didn't make me shed if that's what you're asking, it just halted my natural hairloss and reversed it a bit. Ever since high school I would rub my hands through my hair and 5-10 hairs would be in my hand. I noticed on finasteride I usually have no hairs on my hand now, so no further loss I can notice.

Sorry I didn't see your last question, I didn't actually notice the exact point the shedding stopped, I wasn't diffuse, more just a temple recession that was started at age 24 and moved rather slow until it became more aggressive at age 28 until I got on meds.

Thanks, Is your hair long or short? minoxidil shed should not really be super noticeable.

If your happy with your hair now don't use minoxidil. If your not then give it a try. It really is a life-long commitment, and takes more time/work than finasteride. It also doesn't look great in your hair if your hair is longer. If your a strong responder it could regrow more hair.

Thanks for the reply guys, hair is about two inches up top not too long and yes I am happy with it now, guess I was wondering if it was that beneficial.
