Minoxidil question

I started minoxidil about a week ago and unfortunately here in brazil the generic minoxidil or any medication costs 10x times the usual so i payed 140 for a small bottle (less than 100ml) of minoxidil and since i apply to the whole top of my scalp it wont even last 30 days and i cant afford to pay 200-300 per month just on minoxidil while i can pay 20 for a 100 ml bottle in another pharmacy for a diff but just as good minoxidil..

So my question is if i change the minoxidil, will it basically reset my treatment? will it be like starting over everything because although its still minoxidil, its a different one??

Cuz i have heard many stories of people who were even having regrowth and minoxidil changed formula or the person had to change the brand and lost all the regrowth + started shedding a lot for some reason..

Pls tell me what you think.. will it reset what i did until now?

I think you should not move to get optimal results that. Nioxin is not medication. It is an herbal treatment that has not been shown to regrow hair at all. Rogaine works, as do all of the generic minoxidil brands. However, they only work on about 13% of the people who try it. You also have to use it for at least 8 months to see results, and you must use it for the rest of your life, otherwise your hair will fall out once the medication is no longer present in your system. Finasteride is a better choice, but also must be used for at least 8 months before results, but it works on over 90% of people who use it. Finasteride is also a life long commitment.

It hasn't made a difference with me. I go between the foam and lliquid all the time. I don't think it will be an issue unless you were using some kind of special formula and then going to generic.
