Minoxidil Hair Growth On Temples Disappeared Out Of Nowhere?!? Is It Gone Forever???

I started using minoxidil back in October 2018. By November 2018 I regrew the hair on my temples and kept that hair for a long while until april (first pic shown below) and now when I compare them to today it looks like I lost it (second photo below). I've been using minoxidil twice a day like normal with derma roller. Is this just the shedding phase?? Its been almost 2 months since they've went away. I also just died my hair light blonde but now it's going back to my natural color.

If you can tell in the 2nd photo, there's some little hairs growing there again. Does this mean the shedding phase is over and I'm regrowing the hairs again?

It could either mean that there is upcoming hairs, or that further miniaturisation is occurring... In terms of dying your hair, that could have played a factor although I doubt it unless bleach was involved. Looking at your current condition with your hair, I believe you will respond greatly to finasteride and minoxidil.

But I've been using minoxidil for almost a year now... Is this a normal shedding phase? And can finasteride regrow the hair I lost there?

I believe it would be a case of them working in synergy. Although, it could be a shedding phase since I have seen many emphasise that they also experience shedding phases on minoxidil...

So it'll come back since the shedding phase must be over and that I'm on Finasteride?

youre hair looks good, but im not sure why your trying to make the triangle look thicker with minoxidil because that is supposed to look like that.

It doesnt look like you have male pattern baldness either

But my Dad is bald? But his father isn't. Maybe it skipped me? My brother has my dad's hairline and he's 18. I've had the same triangle shaped hairline since I was a kid. Do I have male pattern baldness?

You are 22y/o. I wouldn't say you have male pattern baldness only normal hairline maturing. How is it with shedding?

are you trying to thicken this part in the picture?

also since you are taking finasteride. already, youre good and might keep your exisiting hair for the rest of your life as long as you keep taking it

minoxidil isnt needed for you

I use minoxidil just to help with derma rolling. I started to derma roll again and started growing hair back on the corners of my hairline and the sides on the temples. If I stop minoxidil, I lose all the hair I've gained. I'm trying to get more hair in the corners. So far I've seen so many new tiny black hairs pop up there and I don't want to lose them

Update: So I figured out why I started to lose that hair on my temples. I stopped using my 0.25mm derma roller for a couple months. I just started using my new 0.5mm derma roller for a month now and I can definitely see the hair growing back.

So what's your plan with derma roller? Is it something you must continue to use or only for a while?

And when you stop using? Is it possible to keep what you gained?

I'm not exactly sure as this is all new to me. I've just been using minoxidil for 10 months, finasteride for almost 1 month and derma rolling for 1 month. I'll keep you updated with photos to see if derma rolling works and how much I can regrow/keep
