Minoxidil foam or liquid?

I am thinking of going on Minoxidil, I was wondering what are the benefits and cons of the foam, and likewise for the liquid?

I was considering the foam, but can only seem to find it in 5%, have they not releases a 2% version foam?

I would of liked to have started with a lower percentage just for precaution.

I would go with liquid because it is more effective than foam. Foam dries ver fast. but you waste most of minoxidil in the hair.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I hear the liquid can be very messy and can drip into areas of your face etc. Also, are there any particular pros of using the 5% over the 2%, other than strength obviously. Is one particularly more effective than the other?

Like many treatments, I think it depends on the individual. If you look around this forum and others, you will see some who favor the foam, and some who favor the liquid.

Obviously the foam is more user-friendly, lending itself to more twice daily applications, so maybe give that a shot first. Good luck.
