minoxidil flaking

is this natural on liquid minoxidil? even after shampoo i still get some on my fingernails when i lightly scratch my scalp. does it mean the minoxidil is not absorbed or just a residue?

I think it's pretty common, I get it too. it's probably some flaking skin but mostly dried up residue. A good moisturising oil could do some good if you feel it's a problem.

It is normal. The minoxidil is being absorbed, but the vehicle that it is mixed in is what remains on the scalp and flakes off. People say minoxidil foam doesn't leave flakes.
