minoxidil-enhancing product from Applied Biology, SULT1A1
using the product.
The directions for the SULT1A1 product are as follows: Apply daily to the base of the hair. Wait at least 10 minutes prior to washout. SULT1A1 requires at least 10 minutes to activate and accelerate the sulfotransferase enzymes in your hair. Do not apply at the same time with Minoxidil, wait until the product has dried to apply Minoxidil.

The study results show that SULT1A1 increases the Sulfotransferase Enzyme levels for 10 of 19 patients, so basically 50%. My question is how many of those 10 actually had increased hair count from minoxidil compared to regular minoxidil? We have so many studies saying that technically, under the microscope, adding a certain ingredient or enzyme or whatever, should increase hair count or decrease hair shed... But guess what, usually it doesn't show noticeable results. Tretinoin for example, is supposed to greatly increase results for minoxidil, yet anecdotally, we rarely read or hear of anyone saying they were a non responder to Minoxodil, then added Tretinoin and had noticeable results.

I really was excited about this, but unless I am looking at this wrong, this study proves that an enzyme is increased for 50% of people, decreased for the other 50% and on top of all that we don't even know if the 50% that increased actually had hair improvements.
