Just not for me! Once I started minoxidil after about 6 months this white Vellous hair grew out of my fore head, yes my fore head!, so I plucked it studied then blew it away. 3 months later the same Vellous hair came back which I promptly plucked. BUT I noticed this hair again, but this time it was the same colour as my hair, dark brown. So that is proof enough for me that minoxidil can actually work. The only problem is that it hasn't prompted any regrowth on the top of my head, I found this whole sequence of events interesting. Has anybody else had any similar experiences?

Say, how old are you and how long has you been losing? Your hair resembles your norwood icon?
minoxidil has done superbly for me over the last 13 months, but me loss was reletively minor.

Niles, im 25 and ive been losing my hair since I was 18, yes unfortunately my hair does resemble my norwood Icon.
I will still endeavour with the minoxidil on top of the other treatments, that single hair was enough to show me that it can help, it's just after all this time I havn't had any regrowth but i'll stick with it.

I think minoxidil works best when you first notice signs of hairloss, and begin using it right away. I did this and probably saved a ton of hair from dissapearing forever. Now maintenance is all that's needed. I wish I could do without it, but hair is better on the head than on the floor.
