minoxidil application and wearing a cap..

I have been on dr lee's minoxidil for a few weeks now and often after I apply it I throw a baseball cap on. Do you think that this decreases the effectiveness of the treatment in any way?

I think you should leave it on for an hour before wearing a cap...

If it hasn't had at least an hour to dry, some will get sucked up into the cap.

And if you put on a hat with any wet, greasy fluid in your hair, your hair will probably look like crap for the rest of the day should you take it off.

i'm only applying it to my temples and my hair generally hangs over them anyway, so when I have a hat on, there is hair in between my temples and the hat. After application, can hair lying flat across a minoxidil applied area absorb significant ammounts?

sounds like you have quite a bit of hair anyways. The minoxidil IS supposed to be on your scalp and be absorbed THERE....anything else that takes it off (your hand, your hair, your hat..) means that its minoxidil going somewhere other than your scalp. I agree with thwat the last person said..wait a few hours.
