minoxidil and your face.

I have noticed since I have been on Xandrox that the condition of my face has declined. There are now small little bumps all over my forehead, and an increase in acne on my face. Not terrible, but definately noticeable. Does this go away in time? I am only 2.5 months in. Is there anyone who has been on minoxidil for a long period of time who can comment on the condition of their facial skin? Is it alright?

Also -- I hope I don't offend anyone here when I ask this. I have observed a few older folk out there who have very porous, red noses. What causes this phenomenon? minoxidil has nothing to do with this does it?

Is my face going to fall off because I am on minoxidil?

Try and drink around 2 litres of water par day, take multi vitamins and cod liver oil helps also. After a shower and drying, my skin was really dry and flackey, since drinking water and taking the vitamins i dont have that anymore. I know its not very scientific but i has worked for me. I just get down three pints of tap water over the space of a day.

Down side, the need to go to the loo all the time!!!

The skin on my face is fine, but I have gotten a few pimples right at the top of my forehead where I apply minoxidil. Doesn't bother me greatly, because there isn't a lot of it, and its not that noticeable.

I use a gentle face cleanser called Cetaphil. Not sure if it's available anywhere other than Australia though. Works well for me.

I have used Xandrox, Regaine and Minoxidil.

Each and every time the condition of my face goes to shite (puffiness, zits, large pores and redness)

Do you not use them anymore Distressed? Anyone else have any comments about the condition of their face while on minoxidil products? I am especially interested in hearing from long term users -- did the condition of your facial skin decline or would you say it has held up well?

Also -- the nose thing. Has anyone else ever seen older men with extremely porous and red noses? Do you think this is from minoxidil? If not, anyone know what would cause that?

I use Minoxidil, and have used Xandrox in the past. I, personally, have noticed no differences in my face appearance, but I know it is a potential side effect.

What kind of dosage are you using? I know a lot of folks here tend to megadose with the minoxidil/Xandrox. If you regularly use more than 1ml per application, try to get your dosage back down to 1ml. Spread it out a bit more, you don't have to hit every inch of skin as it does spread around quite a bit under the skin.
