minoxidil and residue on hair

I have used minoxidil in the past and have now started using it again. I usally apply it once a day (at night) cause it seems to leave a greasy residue on my hair. I don't like it. Has anyone noticed if it leaves a residue on your hair?

I too have noticed the greasy ratty texture of my hair after applying minoxidil. This was the case for the first week until I decided to wipe off the excess liquid outside of the dropper and then rub the minoxidil in with my fingers. I think that the liquid on the outside of the dropper gets on the hair causing your hair to get that texture. Now, things are good and I am just waiting for minoxidil to kick in and hopefully grow hair.
