aftr my big shed on propecia round month 9, i added minoxidil in month 12, to just part of thehair line and right behind it, however in other areas of my head the diffuse seems to be filling in, i attribute this to the propecia for i have not applied minoxidil there, i am about to enter month 4 on minoxidil, should i stop and see if propecia can by itself do its work there, also, will healthy hair tht has to get touched by minoxidil, due to the diffuse, become dependent on the minoxidil and if i ever choose to stop will those hairs shed and never come back?

I'm not the expert - but propecia will combat DHT and help your hair from falling out. Propecia may not regrow hair on its own (although it might in some instances).

Minoxidil is more of a growth stimulant and can aid in new regrowth.

So combining propecia and minoxidil is said to give you the best of both worlds.

If you stop any medication - whether its minoxidil or propecia - yes, you'll ultimately lose all your gains.

Minoxidil may very well cause those "normal" hairs to shed initially - as one thing minoxidil does is to get hairs synched up from one cycle to another.

But that hair should still grow back normally - if it's not DHT impacted.
