Minoxidil and propecia questions

O.K. guys, based on your responses and some further research I am definitely interested in trying the monoxidil and finasteride. I haven't shaved my head in nearly three weeks, so as I may have stated previously, I haven't seen my hair for nearly 10 years. Wow, my scalp is covered with black peach fuzz in the bald areas!
I plan to resume shaving my head again. If I consider trying those products, will I notice a somewhat thicker "shadow" where the peach fuzz is? I know I probably can't expect much because of the age of my bald areas, but I was wondering if some of this stuff would give my a better shadow. Realistically, I know I'll never have an afro, but even if I could have a more even shadow to somewhat have a hairline, that would be cool! I don't know if when I start shaving again, if the growth will be noticeable with a bald head. What do you guys think?

How did you get this regrowth so far without finasteride or minoxidil? Are you using another treatment? Are you saying this came from shaving alone? Also, keep in mind it will probably appear thicker at shorter lengths.

I know I am late as hell replying....my bad!!! I sometimes go for several days without using my computer. Anyway, the hair is definitely thinner than my other hair. No, I'm not using anything, it's just that I didn't think any hair was there at all. When my hair started receeding years ago, I immediately began to keep it shaved. The large bald area of my head is covered with these hairs. :freaked: My regular hair is dark, thick, and somewhat kinky. The fine hairs are straight and thin, I can't style them or incorporate them into a low hair cut.
