I have been on oral minoxidil for about 1.5 years. Started with topical and had a horrific shed. I lost a ton of thick healthy hair. Now I continue to shed, the hairs are thinner some longer (1.5 years worth of growth) but significantly thinner lighter.
I started Finasteride 3 months ago with no slow down in the shed.
Is the minoxidil regrowth worth the shedding? Is it undermining or overpowering the Finasteride?
What should I expect if I stop oral minoxidil?
My doctor said it could do no harm and I think it has been the worse choice I’ve made.
I continue to loose ground. It’s diffuse so difficult to gauge, feels horrible and I can’t deny the constant shed, hair is everywhere and a shiwer yeids 300 hairs+. Any advice welcome.
