Minoxidil and Cats

I have read about Minoxidil being highly toxic to cats. I currently live in a small apartment with two cats and this worries me a little.

Does anyone have any experience with using Minoxidil with cats always being nearby. I was thinking maybe I can use it once a day in the morning and then a few hours later rinse it out. I am worried that if i use it at night and then lay down, some will get on my pillow where the cats enjoy sleeping. Should I be fine or am I being paranoid?

I have cats and have been using minoxidil for years; no worries. Just don't let them lick your scalp after you apply it and you should be good

They should be fine but don't let them lick you scalp. Liquid minoxidil dries in around 45 min and gets completely absorbed in 4 hours, foam dries much quicker.

minoxidil can easily kill a cat.

My friend was planing to apply minoxidil (Rogaine) on her dog in order to grow thicker fur for the winter time. It could easily kill her dog.
