The point is that topical minoxidil doesn't appear to interfere with the fundamental process of balding. It continues to stimulate the growth of hair as long as you use it and the hair actually exists, but balding continues at about the same general rate.

Notice what it says. After 96 weeks, the treatment was stopped. That's why there is a sudden drop. I can't believe no one has mentioned this when it's been debated so often.
