Minoxidil Advice Once Or Twice A Day

Hi,
How long does the minoxidil initial shed long?
I used propecia for two years but stopped two years ago. Have started minoxidil two months ago. Norwood 2 I am with decent amount of hair. Have been shedding from two weeks. Also will be changing minoxidil brand next month.
Need advice on :
1) How long does initial shed last?
2) will changing brand cause any significant disadvantage?
3) Should I use once or twice? Have been using twice from 2 months but planning to go on once a month..

I can only talk about my own experiance!
1 This is individual, mine lasted 3 weeks and i got nervous at the end, just keep on using the medication and things will get better!
2. I changed brand and didnt notice anything, i also changed brand and had another that included Finesteride without a glitch.
3. Personally i use it twice a day, the recomended dosage is there for a reason. Its what worked best during all the tests.
