Hello everyone,

I'm a 26 year old man, exp some thinning on the crown. I want advice about the Minoxidil. My dermatogist recommend for me to start on Minoxidil before any oral pills. However, after reading the Rogain insert directions I am frustrated. I have no problem with applying it twice a day, my problem is that i need to style my hair when it is wet and the directions want it applied when completely dry. Do you dry your hair, then apply the Minoxidil, and finally then add gel? Could I leave the front wet and just apply the minoxidil to the dry crown?

Also it is extremely inconvenient to apply the Minoxidil 2 hours before bedtime. I get off work and go straight to bed. Is anyone else running into these problems? and if any, what are you solutions?

You don't want to apply minoxidil to a wet scalp because of the risk of too much systemic absorption. .

If you've only got loss in the crown, your hairstyle shouldn't affect what that hair is doing. Do your hair however you want it, make sure it's dry, then add the Rogaine. If it's too oily or making your hair look shitty, get the foam.
