Minoxidil 3 Month Mark! Need Advice

Hi all, been on minoxidil for about 3 months. Feel like my hair fall has been worst, only applying it on my hairline, but feel like my hair has gotten more thin. I am 28, do you think it will keep messing up/thinning my hair or do you think if I tuff it out my hair will get better?? My main goal it to thicken it up not looking for crazy regrowth, but I have gone through a crazy shed. First of each photo is right when I started and the Second of each is today, any feedback much appreciated! Thank you.

Volume on top still looks good. Pretty normal look for a 28 year old imo. My advice would be, if you've already started the minoxidil application, continue it for at least a year. I got good results around the 6 month mark based on my experience. If you didn't get results within a year, then stop applying it.

appreciate the feedback, I’m still around 3 months. Look at these photos tho, it thinned up the areas I circled since applying the Min. Did this happen to you? Do you think this will thicken up?

Oral or topical? Looks good, but I think you need to wait 6-12 months to really see the full effect.

Topical 5% I’m at 9 months but I just apply along the hairline. Sometimes it creeps higher up onto my scalp as of late where I wasn’t applying so wondering if the newer area is shedding idk. Trying to thicken what I have I think I’m around a Norwood 2

You were right to jump on minoxidil because you are definitely starting to slowly lose that hairline. Corners look dodgy and can see the scalp on parts of that frontal bit. I’m in the same position but my occupation makes it hard for me to start the meds

I don’t think the min is working that well. Idk I’m turning 29 soon I think if I just still slowly recede might get a hair transplant around 31 or so.

Yeah just be careful with that formulation, it can mimic systemic effects as much as oral finasteride. I’d recommend buying off minoxidilmax (essengen-f) and diluting it.. as your loss is minor and similar to mines.

Update, this is pretty fucked. Been on minoxidil 5% Kirkland brand now for 11 months, applying on the hairline still feel like hair is getting worse and miniaturizing. Going to be 29 in like a month so 1 year mark. Do you go through late sheds with min? It seems to be sinking farther back on my hairline when I apply so maybe it’s shedding the hairs farther up on my scalp? Idk what your guys thoughts are. Fingers crossed I slowly keep receding and opt for a transplant soon. I have a big forehead so losing ground is killing me. Thanks.
