Hi guys. I was using regaine for a month roughly and quit due to constant headaches. I was thinking of giving minoxidil another go and wondered if i was to buy a different formula would i possibly get less sides. I know the active ingredient is the same but the formulas are slightly different right??

Was thinking of trying kirkland, remox or something like that.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one with crazy headaches. I tired it for a few days and was super depressed/lethargic the whole time. However, I'm so desperate at this point that I may try it again in a smaller quantity. Good luck to you.

depressed from minoxidil? How could that happen?

Iwantperfection, are you still on propecia + thyroid meds?

Iwantperfection, if you are on finasteride and seeing good results then hold back on minoxidil.

I too got the headaches and dizzines from minoxidil and quit after 11 months.

Suffered a mini Telogen Effluvium soon after (was shedding on minoxidil all the time anyway) but believe me now my hair is myh better on finasteride alone.

But again if ur not happy with your results so far then yeah try minoxidil and see how you go...

Yip still on finasteride and thyroid meds. My thyroid meds are still to get to the stage where i will see if they help with things. under no illusion my thinning is from male pattern baldness but im waiting to see if i had thyroid thinning too cause i was very unwell for a while.

I like the idea of minoxidil not so much becasue i need it drastically but because i like the feeling knowing im doing all i can for my hair. Anyone know if i would cope better with a different brand??
