Hey guys :)
So I just registered 5 minutes ago and this is my first post!

So I have been using 5% Minoxidil for almost 6 months now and its been great, but ultimately (as far is growth stimulants is concerned) is not enough for me. For about a month now I have started using 2% Nizoral shampoo, Revivogen and 5% topical spironolactone, + Folligen. In just a short period of time, I have already started noticing dramatic results, however the thin patch on my crown (although is now easily covered up) is still a mildly evident. I have hope that in about 2-4 months things will be a lot better, but for now I am considering advances (please tell me if you guys think I should wait it out a bit).

OK! So here is my question -

I was considering using Minoxidil 12.5% in the morning and 5% at night.
- Do you think the effects will be much different?
- Has anyone here moved from 5% to 12.5% and noticed a great deal of improvement?
- Do you think 5% is more than enough and 12.5% won't make much of a difference?
- Are there any risks? because 12.5% is a dramatic increase (also considering Rogaine 5% is known as 'Extra Strength'
- Anything else I haven't considered?

By the way, the reason I would only use 12.5% once a day with 5% at night is because of financial reasons I want to hold back, and I believe only once a day should still be fine.

Cheers guys :)

PS. I'm 23 and my hair has been thinning since I was 17 (I know it sucks)... Funnily enough, thinning hasn't been too dramatic compared to a friend I had in highschool who started losing hair a couple of years later and is practically bald now...

Im not sure which 12.5% you are referring to. I know Dr Lee carries it in lotion form and some seller on ebay/amazon have it in a liquid.

I added Dr Lee's 12.5% lotion in the morning to my temples and it has really helped to fill them out the last to months. However with Dr Lee's you apply the lotion to stubborn areas after you apply your regular Min solution.

Word of caution how ever is that 12.5% and 15% can cause some side effects in some individuals so if you do decide to go for the higher dosage the first couple treatments I would advice taking at night as you want to be aware of any increased heart rates and such that you would ultimately be unaware of if you applied at night and then went to sleep.

Also with some individuals it is a bit habit forming to apply more than 1ml esp if your a diffused thinner to get good coverage. I would advice to never go over the 1lm dosage recommendation on higher concentrations.

With all that being said, Min is very dose responsive. Higher concentrations do yelled great results in most individuals. You just have to stick to it and keep an eye on things.

Final bit of advice if you do jump on the higher concentrations be prepared for a possible shed and it could be a significant one for some individuals. But stick with it as shedding is a good sign its working. Not everyone sheds after jumping to a higher concentrations
