The first two pics are at seven months: the last three taken before I began minoxidil (2x daily at 5%)

TARGET: CROP CIRCLE THINNING on my CROWN

So its definitely working: the 'strange donut' thinning pattern on my crown is still there but much improvement.

QUESTION: when does minoxidil max out? Might I get a little more improvement?

I'm going to try topical finasteride as oral gave me sides (at least at 1mg per day after two months) BUT if topical finasteride is not an option, what are some other options? I'm willing to try RU, spiranolactone, alfatradiol, even Proxiphen N....

What's my future look like if I'm running on JUST minoxidil? Thank you

I cannot explain how weird this was. It seemed to think out a die in 48 hours ..the hairs were standing up and alive the like grass on a hot day, it felt withered and vellous and I could observe the thinning??!!

It seemed like topical finasteride shocked it within a few days of starting...Is that possible?

It's at about maximum effect
Thank you Doctor. Im using topical finasteride now too.

The minoxidil was clearly working around 6 and 1/2 month mark....then I started finasteride and seemingly within days, it had thinned out again (my crown) is that even possible??

Can finasteride thicken crown a little?

Since it is changing your hormones, yes it can cause a sudden shed. But yes it can also thicken the crown. Give it time.

Thank you...it seemed like a shed but it also seemed to die.... like thirsty grass on a hot day, it seemed thinner, it felt more vellous , looked dryer and thinner, was very flat and not sticking up like other hair...now it's feeling softer and sticking up like other hair ...

Maybe all in my mind. It seemed to happen within span of a few days....
