microneedling and fibrosis, could microneedling cause fibrosis?

So, as far as I understand, microneedling is effective because it breaks down fibrotic tissue. But I've also read about researchers claiming (from a mouse model) that microneedling could cause fibrosis. Those of you who have experience with it, do you feel that microneedling made your scalp less fibrotic or more?
