Well I would say ur certainly at a Norwood 2 but not too bad at all, Maybe jump on treatment if it progresses

Maturing Hairline Or Thinning Looking For Opinions

Funny thing is ive had that hairline for as long as i can remember but i feel like my hair is thinning by layers almost if thats possible like the under layer is going but once i comb it down it looks fine its just when i do it back it looks badWell I would say ur certainly at a Norwood 2 but not too bad at all, Maybe jump on treatment if it progresses

In that case mate what I’d suggest is jumping on treatments for ur own peace of mind maybe book an appointment with a dermatologist and see what they advise Best of luck to you I’m sure your gonna be fine and even if you do end up balding (likely not to happen) it’s no biggie if you look after yourself it can look great.Funny thing is ive had that hairline for as long as i can remember but i feel like my hair is thinning by layers almost if thats possible like the under layer is going but once i comb it down it looks fine its just when i do it back it looks bad

Yeahhh I understand, I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t and it’s not unusual for a guy to worry about his hair, but my honest opinion is yours if fine at the moment and even if you do start to properly lose your hair there are so many Avenues of treatment to explore not to mention bald can look great on a guyAppreciate the feedback i honestly don't care cause its just hair i just don't like not knowing if its gonna happen for sure or not

+Alphalete - Tyler Exferd is 23 with very mild recession at the temples. He currently has no thinning on the crown and/or vertex. Minoxidil and Finasteride work much better in crown and vertex thinning cases. They're not designed to combat recession.
I think it's alarmist for a 23 year old to take Minoxidil and Finasteride for the rest of his life when he's still a Norwood 2 with no signs of hair thinning elsewhere. If that situation changes however, he should look to start those medications asap.

Minoxidil & finasteride works everywhere. It might work better at the vertex but there are many cases here ( me included) where it has been great for temple recession. secondly, his hairline is clearly thinning. might it be the EARLIEST stages of hairloss? probably. but if you don't get hold of it as soon as possible it'll just get worse, regardless if itll happen in 5 months, 2 years of even 10. You can monitor it if you'd like, but I don't undesrtand why everyone here thinks he's not balding
