The photos are not the best but as far as I can tell you don't have any hair loss. I'd say just keep an eye on it for now and report back here later down the line if you notice any recession or thinning.

Is it possible for your hair to go from thick to fine? Not sure if its thinning or just getting fine cause my scalp is becoming more visible especially when i brush my hair back

Take a pic with bright light of the top of your scalp.

I'd honestly just keep an eye on them for now. Take pictures of your hairline, the top of your scalp, and the vertex/crown of your scalp, in consistent and good lighting, wet and dry, every 3 months. I don't see any obvious hair loss. You're good for now.

Tyler Exferd - I think Alphalete is being alarmist. Maybe get a professional opinion on it.

You're a Norwood 2 currently and it's thinning at the front a little. However, I was a Norwood 2 at your age and I'm only a Norwood 2a 14 years later with light thinning on the vertex/crown that started a few months ago.

Keep an eye on it and definitely keep an eye on your vertex and crown. This is the litmus test - only when you start losing hair at the vertex and crown like I have should you consider Minoxidil, Finasteride and other complementary remedies.

It could be a couple of years away for you or it may be a decade or more. There's no real way of knowing but don't get stressed about it!

If it happens, it happens but get on the Minoxidil and Finasteride as soon as it does and you'll be in a much better position than most.

Why should he wait for it to happen rather than preventing it from happening?
