Family History:
All of the men on my mom's side are either NW3's or NW2's since their early 20's until their 50's. And her dad was a NW4 early in his life, around his late 20's.
While my dad's side all have NW1's.

So I'm currently in high school, and my hair has definitely receded a bit, and it looks like its receding even more. I've been losing about the same amount of hair but the hair I've been losing looks thinner. Should I get on finasteride or should I wait until I hit NW2?

At this point you cant really tell where things will go yet, might be a little maturation but your hairline is still quite straight. I'd advise you to keep an eye on it and make good photos every half year or 3 months.

Anyways if there is noone above an NW4 range and most of the people are between NW1 and NW3 chances are, that even if you drew the worst cards possible, you'll be able to keep your hair with treatments. However you are really not at that point yet, just keep an eye on it!

I couldnt access your pictures so I cant tell. But my family has a similar balding pattern. All the men in my family on my dads side become nw3's in their early 20's but then stay that way for life usually.

I don't think u should take finasteride yet. Its too early to start playing around with your hormones. In fact, I don't recommend it at all (just personal opinion, I'm sure most disagree with me on here.)

I definitely recommend using nizoral shampoo and if your really concerned maybe some rogaine, although rogaine it not proven to help with temple loss only crown.
