Has your recession come recently?

I think the further away you get from your teenage years the more likely it is a mature hairline.

I see miniaturizing hairs. So I guess its either male pattern baldness or a "mature hairline" so I guess if it gets to a Norwood 7 its just a more mature hairline. So really no one should treat male pattern baldness at any stage because its all just natural hairloss that occurs with age.

lol @ the cynicism.

The majority of males feel the nip at their hairline during their teens and never experience anything more until their 50s.

i'm 28 now and i guess my recession started around the time i was 20. not sure though.

i never had that straight hairline to begin with and judging by photos from when i was about 17-18, my hairline was about where the black line is:

it's crept up about 1,5 cm at the temples i'd say.

i doubt i'll ever go bald and frankly, i don't mind becoming a nw3 in my 30-40s or even a nw4 in my 50s.

however, the reason i'm asking, would a drug like propecia be any use to someone like me? i mean, the recession is quite slow, so for propecia to be a succes, it'd have to stop the recession completely or even give me some regrowth.

Personally, I wouldn't be all that concerned about 1.5cm over 8 years.

If I was really concerned I'd consider minoxidil on those areas.

Is it really bothering you?

enough to make me find this site. :)

though, seriously. i don't really think of it during the day. sure, i'd love to have a straight hairline again, but i do accept the fact that i'm no teenager anymore. hell, i'm closing in on the big 30.

minoxidil isn't really my cup of tea. seems like too much work; applying it twice a day. heard it stinks as well.

hmm, i don't know much about minoxidil but surely its wouldn't be that hard just applying it to those temple parts?

i guess i'll look in to it and see what the pros and cons of it are.

btw, one thing that is comforting, is that a lot of guys start losing their hair in their 20s. most of my friends are my age and probably half of them are showing signs of balding. some are completely bald, some are thinning at the vertex and some are receding. maybe i really am evil, but the fact that so many are worse of than me is helping...

yeah, you're competitive with your friends. I find this a really negative trait in a friend. No offence.
