Mathew has had some work done gents.
The amount of hair that he appears to have, fairly thick NW2 is too much for a strip scar transplant to have delivered without a couple of big scars on the back of his head. He would NOT have buzzed his head if he had a couple of long strip scars.
There are two things that Mathew might have had done.......................He has been to Cohen Gho (unlikely) for several sessions in the Netherlands. Gho performs a manual "cloning" procedure by which he FUE's about 600 hairs a day, cuts the dermal papillas in half at just the right spot under high magnification where enough stem cells are located in both halves, and reimplants a portion back in the donor area and some in the front of the head. A University study over there documented that one can get about 90% donor regeneration this way................scarring so small as to be unnoticeable unless you get your eye extremely close to the back of the head. They supposedly can operate with more than one Doctor on the pateints head now, getting hair from the back and sides, but even at that.................that would just be 1800 hairs a day under the best of circumstances. on has to wait AT LEAST 9 months between procedures for the hairs in the back of the head to rejenerate before re-harvesting them agian or you risk their survival.
Cost? 4500 for the one day package of one Doctor.....................so thats 4500 for 600 brand new hairs. Would take 5-6 trips to go from what McConnaughey had to what he ahs now at that pace.
What Matt most likely did was get a Doctor like Cole, Umar, Woods, Poswal to do a "donor exchange" protocol done on him whereby the Doctor FUE's out the head hair in the back and moves it to the front........................another Doctor is simultaneously removing body hair (which isnt as good as head hair) and puts it back in the FUE-donor hole left in the back of the head so that there is at least +some+ hair put back in the back and Matt doesnt have that "moth-eaten" look back there.
I really doubt Matt had a conventinal strip-scar transplant where a one inch slice of scalp is removed, techs cut it up in hair units, and the Doctor puts the hair units in the front while he gets the back of his head stitched back up in the back (stitches removed in about a week). Matt MAY have had a series of FUE transplants where the hair is removed one unit at a time from the back of his shaved (pretty much gotta shave it for this) head and had the hair moved to the front. Thing is with that is that you will definitely have to "thin" your hair out back there......................its better to replenish it with body hair. Very expensive though.............but movie stars can afford it.
The last and most unlikely thing he had done is that his agent got together with ICX and he had some HM done before its release for a great big amount of money. Thats highly unlikely though.
