MASSIVE shedding from Nizoral

So I joined this site looking to learn more about hair loss, and possible treatment options. I hadn't heard of Nizoral for hairloss, but it seemed like everyone on this site was using it and had positive things to say about it. Well, I used it for about a month and a half and I had huge amount of shedding and hair loss as a result. My left temple has receded about a cm inward and half a cm towards the middle of my scalp, and the only thing I did different was use the Nizoral. Anyone else have similar experience with this "hair loss treatment product". Also, just in case anyone asks I used the 2% and exactly how the instructions states to. Before the Nizoral I had very little change to my hair line the last year or so.

I'm not sure why people include Nizoral in 'the Big 3' to be honest. IIRC an early study showed that nizoral may be beneficial when used in combination with Finasteride because it dulls the androgen receptors or something - but don't expect too much from it, especially when used on its own.

if it's causing you to shed then stop using it and see if things improve

I stopped it about a week and a half ago. I hope to have a little regrowth where the shedding happened, but if not oh well lesson learned. I don't so much mind losing the hair on my own terms, but when It's from a product I'm paying to help prevent the hair loss that's been proven to help hair loss than I get a little upset.

I'm dropping Nizoral has well. Been using every 2-3 days (1 %) and hair continues to shed. I dropped it once before for a while, about a year ago, and hair seemed to do much better.
