male pattern baldness?

First let me give a brief history. I am 18 years old, my father started balding around my age I believe (passed away a while ago), and his father started balding around 25 I believe(also passed away a while ago). My mother's father had hair until he died, and my maternal uncles all have a full set of hair. As you can see in the pictures, it looks like the hair on my temples is quite thin, especially my left one. My hair may have always been like this, it has just been long since I was so young so I really have no idea.

If I am receding I want to get an early start on it.

My siblings and mother also have thin hair in the same spots on the temples, but not as thin as mine.

I think your temples will recede in the future, it's impossible to say how fast though. Take pictures every six months/ every year and if the loss progresses too rapidly start finasteride, you'll be fine don't worry.
