Hey,

I am currently 19 years lost and lost a good amount of hair (from scalp and temples). If it’s important, I’m of south asian descent (indian/Pakistani). I first started noticing that I lost some hair was in the summer when I was 18. I had gotten a haircut and the lack of hair in certain areas became more visible. I am now trying to figure out the root cause of this. I would say it’s male pattern baldness, but I was only 18 when this first started and I have no history of male pattern baldness in my family (my father and my grandfathers all had a full head of hair). I don’t know about extended family members though. I noticed that when my hairs fell off, there were white flakes attached to the end of it. Initially, I assumed it was dandruff. But after doing some research, it may be more like a white bulb. The process of losing my hair seemed abrupt more so than gradual. I had no noticeable signs of balding before the summer. I don’t remember having a significant amount of hair fall off. After a few months, I have noticed that I regained some hair. Anyways here are some pics:

Sorry man. Clear male pattern baldness and extremely aggressive for 19. You are a diffusely thinned nw3-3.5.

Sounds like you have seb derm too. Start nizoral. If you care about your hair consider propecia and rogaine, but do your research first.

I also notice you are overweight in your pictures. Early male pattern baldness is often a sign of metabolic syndrome, so I would suggest requesting your doctor to check your blood sugar and cholesterol.

Don't know why you're disliking Mandar's post. You asked for an opinion and he gave it. You're clearly balding heavily. Sorry but that's the way it is.
