From the university of my hometown Bonn in Germany.They also found the link between the Androgen Receptor CAG Repeats and male pattern baldness,3 Years ago.
One of this genes is the so called "growth hormone secretagogue receptor gene"(GHSR).It regulates the Growth hormone release,the appetite behavour,and the carbohydrate utilization.Defekt Expression is involved in several diseases,like coronary heart disease, Diabetes and obesity.
The second Gene under strong suspicion is the so called "TERC",which encodes the expression of Telomerase.Telomerase is involved in protecting of telomere lenght.Telomeres are shortening whith increasing age.A connection between telomer shortening, Oxidative sterss and missing estrogen,is also evident.Estrogen replaecement therapie in Women helps to keep telomeres long.
