I am 24 and noticed bald spot 18 months back but I thought it's temporary but just had a buzz cut 6 months ago and noticed I don't have much hairs left .So please suggest what kind of hair loss I am suffering from.and what are my options.I am using finestride from last 6 months it slowed the hair fall but it's not satisfing enough.And is minoxidil a good option?

Yes from last 2 years..but it's less shedding now as I am on finasteride now

It is probably male pattern baldness if finasteride stopped shedding.Yeah you should definitely add minoxidil to your regime.

What i feel that its a case of diffused thinning, and also you’re responding to a dht blocker. Hence it’s definitely male pattern baldness.

If you believe that none of your parents/grand parents are bald, even i have the same. Yet i’m a diffused thinner. My derma told genetics may activate after 4th generation too.

You have to take finasteride too for life if you realise, which has side effects too. Considering minoxidil, try and see if it suits you only then continue.
