Hi all,

I am considering taking in propecia as part of my current regime but the side effects(impotent, low libido) posted in this forum delayed my decision. For those currently taking finasteride, I hope you can help me to decide. Thank you so much!

Krermlin,

Your poll results will not give you an accurate refelection of c*** problems on propecia.

Merck says around 2% - suffer from c*** problems - I actually think its less than that.

Do not worry about it.

Take your multi-vits and eat well and your member will throb with glory.

neiltom88,

Thanks for replying.. i am just gathering some courage to take on propecia and this will be my final research. besides, i am in a wonderful relationship and do not want it to end because of the side/permanent effects.

For those who voted,
thanks again.

My libido is at an all time high. I feel like having sex 100% of the time now, and I've been on Propecia nearly 13 months. It's been like this for the better half of a year now. Don't worry about it.

The only way to know what it's gonna do is to try it. Let your gf know before you start and I'm sure everything'll be fine. My libido actually went way up for my first few months on finasteride.

I don't mind if my libido goes up after taking it :p but not the opposite way.

Neiltom,
any multivit that you can recommend?

Thank neiltom88. Will get it from local pharmacy.

From the poll, though it may not be accurate, but i hope it will be helpful to others whose are in the similar situation as i am... making a major decision.

the side effects are not only uncommon, but reversible as well.. so if you get them, and think its not worth it, just stop the drug. its really not a gamble.

TynanW,

Not good at the moment. Still waiting for results. I did see some tiny hairs in the area i applied but never grow into thicker hair. Thought finasteride will help on this.

I suppose you have got to give it a whole load of time to make a good judgement, after all your hair did not fall out over 4 months.....

Also your survey on sexual side effects from propecia will produce a very skewed result.

This is a hairloss forum, visited by people who are having issues with hair loss. You will have a disproportionate amount of negative replies.

Why not go into a doctors waiting room and do a "who is not feeling very well" survey.

The best thing you can do to get a reasonable representation of the true figure is to do a 4 year 3 stage double blind peer reviewed placebo trial involving at least two thousand screened and monitored subjects put through stringent processes and checked and recorded at every stage.

...no need...it's already been done...

and the results ?

2% suffered from sexual side effects, this includes everyone including those who had loss of libido, watery semen, lowered ejeculate, gyno, testicular ache, thoughts of gay trists, bum ache and gayness.

TynanW,

My frontal did shed when i applied it and now it stops.. i think. I know patience is the key when it comes to hairloss. :( Was hoping Xandrox 15% to maintain my frontal/temple area where finasteride to take care of the rest.

I agree with your statement on the survey.. not bad huh that the result are still positive despite in a hairloss forum. Together with your post and this survey, it will give encouragement to those who are still sitting on the fence. :)

How's your treatment treating you?
