Maintaining The Results From Minoxidil 10% With Minoxidil 5%

I've been using Minoxidil 10% since 2 years now, got excellent results. I want to switch from 10% minoxidil to 5% because of some sides from 10% minoxidil.
Is it possible to maintain the results i got from 10% with 5% minoxidil?
