Lost about 30% of hair mass in ONE WEEK... is it normal?

Guys, I recently started to accept that I'm balding. Before that I didn't have any problem with my hair except for my receding temples (went from NW1 to NW2 in about 5 years). I also had some very bad itching at the back of my head (with some sort of bimples) for about 2 months.

But since a week or two I don't feel the bimples on the back of my head anymore and I'm losing A LOT of hair on the top of my scalp, like my hair is flat and lifeless and I can definitely feel the hair loss and see my hair shedding pretty fast.

Why does this happen? I have a doctors appointment in ONE MONTH and I can't wait that much before taking the meds. Do you think the thinning/shedding will stop or is it possible to suddenly go from NW2 to NW5-6 in less than a month? :sobbing:

I'm really anxious and scared right now... especially knowing that I dont take anything yet

Stress is a killer, try to chill and get to a derm FASTER, finasteride absolutely works as I recently dropped my dose and noticed thinning quickly. It's the #1 defense, period.

The Fleshlight is the most important item in the Big 3.

But in all seriousness OP, you won't lose that much hair in a month. Maybe start on minoxidil in the meantime if you're worried.

Also Shook how have you been after the transplant?

Still have a bit of transplant blues after my procedure, but slowly getting back onto my feet.

pretty much a NW2 all over again. my temples, temple points followed by sides are shaved down and transplanted in.

Growth should start around 10 weeks. That's how long it took after my first procedure.

After this I should be done for awhile, and just maintain :)

So did you have a second one to add density or did some of the hair from the last one not "carry over?"

Well, My first procedure was to restore my frontal third, which it did.

Second procedure was to add temple points, reinforce the sides where their was visible thinning and add more angle closure at the temples.

A bit more density was added at the hairline where the closure points are. Hence why it was shaved and moved a bit further back.
