Well hairmax is mostly to blame, but how is the FDA off the hook? They are enabling these scammers with this ridiculous "approval".

Sure, the price is totally the responsibility of hairmax. $600 for a cheap plastic comb is just pathetic.

But their sales went up 500% thanks to the FDA.

Its comparable to the FDA clearing "procede" or "scalpmed".

My point is, we don't know for sure yet what the laser comb has been approved for exactly. So much is nothing but vague information.

Lost confidence in the FDA?! You mean the same FDA that bans the usage of the only safe/natural sweetener "Stevia" from being labeled as a sweetener because of big money lobbyists? The same FDA who approves/rejects drugs based almost solely on what the manufacturer provides to them?

Don't you know youngbaldie, the FDA is there to protect, just like the rest of the $3 Trillion federal government!!! </sarcasm>

The FDA approval of the lasercomb is and should be meaningless. They were already selling this comb before the FDA approved it. They can only just claim that it will regrow hair now.

It probably does promote growth in some people. Maybe it's not to a cosmetically significant extent in most. I think it was Dr. Proctor that said most things will grow some hair in some people.

As for the $600, if people will pay it - more power to the manufacturer. If you'll give me $1000 for my old tennis shoes, I'll gladly take your money. Same goes for Merck, Upjohn, whoever... the $600 for the laser thing is not something to "blame." They're not a charity...they're running a business to make a profit.

I am curious what studies the haircomb had to gain approval. Propecia had a large 5 year study and a discussion with FDA approval board. What did haircomb do to get approved?
