Losing more hair with buzz cut

I recently buzzed my head to about 3/4 of an inch and I'm pretty happy with it. What I have noticed, though, is that when I do a pull test I lose a lot more hair than I did when it was longer (sometimes 4 with one pinch). Has anyone else noticed this? I know there's no possible way buzzing my hair could have induced further hair loss, but there's been a marked increase. Maybe it's because, when it's short, you can get a better grip on the hairs when you pull?...I dunno.

Its just because you cut it recently. Chances are theres a lot of little, chopped off hairs between the actual growing hairs that have yet to get off your scalp.
Just give it a few days.

And, if you're pulling little tiny hairs at the roots-- you're going to be exerting a lot more pressure on them than if you would by pulling them from higher up the shaft. Stop pulling them!

They've got white bulbs so they're not cut hairs.

I pull very gently, they're hairs that are about to fall out anyway...but you're right, probably not the best thing to do.
