Hi, I’m 18 and started noticing my hairline change and increased hair loss. As of recently my hair loss seems to have stopped, little to no hair is falling out compared to beforehand where it seemed like a hair would fall out every time I touched my hair. I wanted to ask if this normal and what this suggests?

Recently started using some hair strengthing shampoo and pills for the same purpose that aren’t any of the medically proven medications but I don’t know if this would have had an effect or not

It's my understanding that male pattern baldness can come in waves or very slowly over time and sometimes all at once, though I'm not insinuating that's what you have. If you have a family history, it's something to keep an eye on over the years but I wouldn't worry much about it unless you see continued loss or areas that are thinner / harder to style. Most men's hair matures at some point after puperty and can stop, though a large percentage of men continue to bald to varying degrees. Also, humans lose anywhere from 50-100 hairs a day on average as part of their regular hair growth cycle. People who become concerned about hair loss typically become hyper aware of this, but it's something that has always been happening on our scalps. For the time being, I'd just stay healthy, live your live, and if you ever notice something concerning, just visit a dermatologist, preferably one who specializes in hair loss, to inspect your hair.
