For what its worth, I went to the doctor.
She said Telogen Effluvium and I couldn't really argue with her...
-Have I gone through a long period of stress then unstress? Yes
-Do you know where the loss is coming from? no (well I think I think its coming from the front-third but thats the only part that I can "accurately" compare to normal)
-Is my hair line receding? I don't know (btw what do you guys infer from the pic?)
She wasn't familiar with the term "miniaturization" but I'm not sure that its happening anyway. Are hairs that fall out in the case of male pattern baldness typically miniaturized? Are non-miniaturized hairs and miniaturized hairs equally likely to shed with male pattern baldness?
Wouldn't it take, say 5 years to ramp up to 400 hairs per day with male pattern baldness?
I really don't know whats going on. I don't think a Derm would take me any more seriously than the doctor did.
