Looking for advice/opinions on my hair line

So I first noticed my hair start to thin and recede when I was 20 years old. Im 24 now. What shocked me most was how much it thinned. It literally seemed overnight that one day I could not take a shower and my hair would still look awesome , then next day I had to take a shower or else it stays flat and just looks bad and that's where ive been ever since. At first I really struggled because I felt I was being robbed. Funny thing is I never payed any attention to hair lines or bald guys until I started losing my own. I've become more ok and accepting over the years but it still gets to me. Just knowing it will probably keep getting worse and worse. So what I was looking for was advice on all the drugs and what would be a good option based on my recession which I feel isnt too bad for 4 years but it's still obvious im missing hair. Would rogaine and nizoral shampoo(?) be effective for some one like me or should I just go propecia? Honestly the thing that scares me most about Propecia is not that I will get sexual sides, but that I will shed a ton, it wont work, and I end up losing more hair. From what it sounds like the more hair you have the easier to treat and I still have a pretty decent head of hair for now, and I'd like to keep it that way. Any advice, opinions, or whatever you feel like saying are welcome and appreciated.
