I wanted to test how much hair im actually losing because for the past few months ive been seeing hair literally everywhere. Its going in my ears, on my desk at work, my desk at school, my pillows, my clothes pretty much everywhere I go there is hair on the floor.

So today at around 1PM I took a shower to completely clean out all the hairs I lost within the last 24 hours. The last shower I took before this was around 1PM on Saturday (right now it is sunday where I live). In this shower I completely cleaned out my hair so that not a single stand would fall no matter how hard I pulled on it or roughed it up. Lost a shitload of hairs. My plan was to take another shower 6 hours from then to see how fast I am actually losing my hair.

Here is the result: https://imgur.com/a/kGMDFVW

6 hours after I completely cleaned out my hair to the point where not a single stand would come off I end up getting this much. I went from being a thick NW1 a year ago to diffusing hard in a NW6 pattern in just one year from 20- 21 years old.

Have any of you guys had loss like this where you lose hairs on an hourly basis? I thought it could be Telogen Effluvium but my derm says its male pattern baldness but she didnt even look at my hair lol, I told her that my dad was a NW7 at my age and she just ignored everything else I said from that point on and was positive it was male pattern baldness.

My dad and grandpa are both a diffuse nw5 but have hair all over. I am the same pattern,I’m trying just to hold it off till something better comes along

How old are you? I find it hard to believe that something better will be coming soon.

Two things that have helped me with my diffuse thinning are Caffeine Shampoo--I get it off Amazon you can PM me if you want to know the brand as I cannot think what it is now and am too lazy to check and CoQ10---I take Garden of Life Raw. These seem to help with the extreme shedding thru the day that I suffer from due to Minoxidil. Though if you have long hair, you WILL shed a lot in the shower, esp during the warmer part of the year. Shedding does not really matter as long as your hair is growing!

My hair is not that long right now and these hairs def are not growing back lol. Does caffeine shampoo actually help? I will look into that for sure. Thanks!

This isnt a minoxidil or finasteride shed though as ive been losing like this even when I was on 0 medication.

While topical caffeine has some dubious studies and by no means has as much evidence as Finasteride and Minoxidil, it does seem like there is mounting evidence that it helps hair growth and protects the hair through increasing energy production in the hair follicle which is inhibited in male pattern baldness. I use a shampoo with caffeine and other ingredients, it is expensive so there are probably cheaper ones out there.

CoQ10 seems to help a lot. I used to use Resveratrol+Turmeric/Curcumin but that did not help. CoQ10 seemed to help immediately. I cannot say this will help everyone though.

You will also want to use other treatments--treating this needs multiple supports usually to get maximum effects+regrowth.

Somehow looking at the pic I feel the hairs form letters and spell 'f*** you' to my face. Sorry about your loss pal.
