Longterm users of Dutasteride/ Propecia (only legitimate prescriptions)

Hey,

First post! Just wanted to hear from some longterm users of Dutasteride or Propecia (2 years +). I don't want to hear from people who bought stuff online and said that it didn't work - only feedback from people with legitimate scripts written by a doctor, and filled at a legitimate pharmacy.

Interested to know how well its worked for you, to what extent side effects have been an issue, and how happy you are with the meds. Thanks!

I've been on finasteride for 8 years and minoxidil for about 7 overall Im happy with the results. I wasnt a great responder to meds it took 2 years before I was sure they were working.

On finasteride alone I was still slowly losing ground at the front so I added the minoxidil just at the hairline this stopped the loss and also thickened it up a bit.

The results were not dramatic but I have pretty much maintained what I had since starting the meds. I think maintenance alone should be considered success.

As for the side effecs I've not had any. I just take the meds as directed and dont worry about it. Despite what you read on the internet I believe sides really are rare.
