long vs. short hair

I have usually always had long curly hair, probably around 4 inches long. I use to shed around 20 hairs in the shower. However, recently i buzzed my hair down to a 4 guard, and havent noticed a single hair in the shower.

Was wondering if this would help in figting hairloss due to less shedding, or am i probably just not noticing the hair i shed because it is shorter?

Of course you notice less hair if the hair is shorter/less noticable.

longer hair also tends to shed more naturally, look at women lol, also when my hair was longer i would shed more than i would with medium length hair

could you retain or gain more hair having your hair shorter, then your hair longer if it sheds more naturally?

I don't buy that hair sheds or falls out faster when it's longer.
All the action happens at the follicle under the skin anyway.

+1

The number of hairs in the resting phase shouldn't be related to the hair length.

Short or long, you should be shedding about the same number of hairs per day. The difference is, with short hair you notice it less.
