I will be looking heavily into an hair transplant this coming summer. More than likely in June. I am getting married in late August and very much want to look top notch for that and the honeymoon. I have pretty much stabilized my situation and I am coming to grips with the fact I am not really going to get my original hairline back. I am not in bad shape yet, but I think you guys get me. I will be 26 this summer and just plan to fill in the temples and get some extra density on the hairline, and the crown.

Bruce, when I am ready to rock the hair transplant I am going to track you down for info on your Doctor in La Jolla.

Good luck Zak.

I will be happy to direct you to Deyarman. He is very good.

Good luck

Yea zak I would think it over. I remember when I first started losing i just thought Its no big deal, I will get a hair transplant. But I just read what diddy just said, and thats what I heard. I just heard of guys just spending years of getting corrective work done. I saw this guy in the store a couple months ago and he had a hairline and no hair behind it. It looked bizarre, having OBVOUIS plugs and no hair behind them. I saw another guy on tv like that and I just felt sorry for the guys.

I used to just think I would get a hairtransplant if things got 2 bad, but now I know that I will NEVER get a hair transplant done. If you go to hair transplant website most of the hair transplant's on the cover page, (which are supposed to be the really good examples) look just "ok". Most transplants dont look really good. And if you get a bad hair transplant done you are screwed and will have to spend thousands of dallors in corrective work and it will be a huge emotional toll on you.

I think you should try drug treatment for 2 years at least before considering.

my parents are paying for it, yes i'm pretty diffuse, and im 100% positive i want a hair transplant

i did my homework on a couple of doctors, went to plenty of interviews, and got plenty of recommendations from doctors who would not see anyone under 25, my doctor is Jerry Cooley

i will be getting 1500 grafts (5$ per graft for the first 1000, 4$ per graft for the second 1000)

i will make sure to take pictures and keep you guys up-to-date with what's going on with it and how it goes/continues to go

Hey Zak I would be VERY interested to know how it goes for you. I have been toying with the idea of getting some grafts done later this spring on the temples, hairline, and crown. I will not be looking to get as many as you. I am fully guessing but I may be looking at about 300 on the crown and like 250 on the hairline/temples to square it off as well. minoxidil is not going to bring me back to anything acceptable in my eyes, so a hair transplant is the way I wanna go. Good luck.

"If you need to, shave your head and
workout. sh*t, IT IS ONLY HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

i agree. hair folicals shouldn't control your life. people have been losing their hair for thousands of years. do what you can to save it, but don't let it ruin your life. bald people do marry and date. if a women judges you on your hair only, she's not someone you'd want to marry anyways.

i reccomend you shave it.

What happens when you look like...

a penis that bred with a turtle who's mom was dumbo

...with a shaved head. what are our options?

i would spend the money on getting the ears sugically fixed and shave it. ear surgery would be so much cheaper than hair transplant, and a life time of drug use to fight hair loss.

Not to sound rude, but that is pathetic if you're letting your baldness hold you back from having a life. If it is to that point you should go talk to a psychiatrist and get check out for depression
