little help with minoxidil

hey guys, i know it says to take 1ml of minoxidil twice a day, but with only hair loss at the temples i use not even half of that per usage, it runs if i put to much on or even when i try and pat it down. what should i do, does it have to be that much.

Put it along the hair line and a little in back of the balding areas so no more receding will occur. I had the same prob and that fixed it.
