Hi Guys

Brand new here, thought i would let you know my situation.

I am now 35 and have been slowly losing my hair from the age of 25, I do still have quite a bit but i wear it about 2mm anyway.

My problem started with a heavy rash around my forehead, this still irritates me know, when my hair gets a bit longer, say 3 or 4 mm, i get a very itchy scalp and it starts to burn, i have never bothered using anything on it because it is so short hair, but after reading the forums here i purchased some tgel and it is the best my scalp has ever felt, even after 10 years no bullshit! It did burn after the wash for a few minutes and then went very red but after a few hours really settled down, today it feels great

I must admit it my thinning doesnt really bother me all that much, however if something can thicken it up i would give it a go no sweat, would be nice to have someone telling you your hair looks thicker instead of hearing the oppisite all the time (Wankers)

Took my first finasteride yesterday and got some minoxidol (I Think) on the way, i will let you know if i get any results!

Welcome trev! Sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders! Remember that this is a challenge that you didn't ask for but it can bring out the best in you in the long run. That's the true mark of greatness, flexing enough with a challenge to discover more of who you are and then strengthening others with the courage that you've received :D .

Hi Guys

Thanks for your reply, thinning, what i was implying was all those tossers who take the piss out of you saying you look 40 when your only 25, it would be nice to reverse the situation and for them to say god your hair looks thicker, but i can be doing with those pricks anyway so they can shove it up their arse.

After using TGel head felt good, after 3 days though started to go dry again, used it again this morning and my skin feels like it is too small for my head, a bit tight.

looked out the window this morning and the postman had left my minoxil 5%, anyone could have knicked it plonker!! found it hard doing the measure as it runs of your head really easy when your hair is only 1mm long, felt like i could have used only half of it, took about 2 bloody hours to dry, didnt matter though coz i work from home, dried a bit whitish though, anyone got any tips, i suppose though having such short hair, i am guaranteed to be getting the minoxil on my head and not lost in my hair!!

Trying to find miz in the chemist, is it better than TGel, I will keep everone updated on my progress (If i get any)

All i can say to anyone worried about their hair looking thin and having to worry about the wind is please take the step and shave it off, you really open your life up to so many more things, hair is not everything, i got more women after me with dead short hair than i did when it was longer and thin...Dont be afraid!!

The above message was only for people considering the big shave, everyone to their own.

ps Out of all my mates I am the one married to a 5ft 11 model, the rest of them are married to mingers, given the choice of hair or my wife i'd choose my wife everytime.

UPDATE

Hi everyone

Just to update my life, been on finasteride and minoxidil now for 3 months, not really noticed much but my scalp feels alot better, one question i wanted to ask is why do some people leave minoxidil as the last resort, surely its best to go in with all guns blazing, if your going to do something do it right!

I have had no side effects at all since starting my course either!
