Your rage is impotent though, as you'e not convincing anybody.

It's like a little boy flailing against the wind.

It's just not effective.

David you don't even use finasteride, and said you never would. Why? Because of the irreversible side effects

I am a finasteride skeptic.

I'm convinced by the consistent aetiology of PFS victims, an aetiology which is not observed among people who use minoxidil, nizoral, or laser comb.

However, that doesn't mean that I endorse every argument against finasteride. I think that bad counterarguments undermine the discussion. For example, it is true that the mechanism is unknown.

bobster speculates that 5ar type-II is a unique enzyme in the body that never gets reproduced, in spite of evidence to the contrary. It's possible, but he is making a spectacular claim, so he needs the evidence.

I think a more plausible scenario is that it's simply homeostasis at work. If finasteride suppressed DHT for a very long time, that will be the new equilibrium for the body for some people even after quitting finasteride. It's analogous to how people stay fat after gaining weight sometimes, even if they go back to eating normally. Homeostasis is a powerful thing. In those cases, those people will need to jump through hoops to re-activate 5ar activity.

[O]ur results showed that [finasteride] treatment affected the expression of a number of accumbal proteins involved in key functional processes, such as regulation of GABAergic neurotransmission, as well as steroid and pyrimidine metabolism. These findings may prove crucial to understanding the neurochemical mechanisms of finasteride’s neuropsychiatric and sexual side effects.

You are the most delusional person I have ever met. Borderline psychotic.

Really Bobster? In what world does you accusing someone else of being psychotic make sense

You made a suicide thread, fell silent at everyone's reaching out to you, and then months later just popped up out of nowhere posting like everything was normal. You're posts are erratic as f***...you have DUPA, then you don't, then you do again. You know for a fact RU works better than finasteride (99% sure you said this in some thread)

Pull yourself together man

My finasteride side effects are worse than my hair loss.
And I apologized about my thread and behaviour.

I truly dont understand why people stop finasterid all at once. We all know how hormonal axis works and how the body aways works towards homeosthasis. No one who took for example corticoids for long would stop it at all cause the shock is too big as the hormonal axis is adapted toward the hormonal scene the drug imposed. Same with finasteride. If you are going to quit it, do it slow so the body can deal with a gradual change instead of an all out mess. Start taking maybe half a pill, than half a pill every other day and so on.

first those who haven't take finasteride for at least 1 year don't know what real propecia sides are .
Yes after some time it will produce libido decrease .
Just because your body will produce more oestrogen , and almost 0 DHT to counter the oestrogenic sides .
But all the sides are reversible , the only one irreversible is gyno lump .

I've had side effects for over 3 months that have not gone away. finasteride messes with neurosteroids in your brain.

I've come off the drug 3 times, my last time being 5 months in. Always tapered down for 2-3 weeks.its true though, when you come off finasteride your libido does shooot down for a week or 2, but I always bounced back in my case, I think tapering off the drug should be pretty important.

Just like with AI's, I'm sure there's some sort of "estrogen rebound" but for DHT

Inhibiting DHT will cause erectile dysfunction. I don't care who you are. If not right away, down the line.

Some kind of proof to back this up? If not, a fear mongering statement like this is borderline ban worthy imo

Anybody who is against Finasteride on this forum gets banned or flamed.

Seems to be the case.
